| The Bible says nothing about Wednesday. He probably remained in Bethany (just outside Jerusalem and where they were staying for the festival) with his disciples, or may have visited the temple again. | Wednesday | |
Jesus shares a "last supper" (Passover meal in which Jesus instituted the Eucharist or Communion) with his disciples. Jesus speaks to the disciples in the Upper Room. Jesus prays in the garden of Gethsemane. Jesus is betrayed and arrested. Jesus is questioned by the Jewish authorities. |
Thursday | Maundy Thursday |
Jesus is formally tried by the Sanhedrin (the Jewish Governement composed of the Priests) and the Roman Authorities. Jesus is flogged and mocked. The crowd reject Jesus. Jesus is crucified. Jesus is buried before the Sabbath (Saturday). |
